Sidney Greidanus has written some of the most substantial work on preaching in recent years, and preachers warmly can welcome anything he publishes. His newest book is Preaching Christ from Ecclesiastes: Foundations for Expository Sermons (Eerdmans). Greidanus observes that the Book of Ecclesiastes is particularly relevant for today’s culture, and he proceeds to provide a wealth of foundational resources for preaching through the biblical book. Christian preachers particularly will appreciate his insights for moving from the Old Testament text to Christ.
