I am involved with a group planting a new church—more on that soon—so I’ve been reading on that topic. One of the excellent resources I’ve found is Launch: Starting a New Church from Scratch (Regal Books) by Nelson Searcy and Kerrick Thomas. Drawing on his own experience as a church planter in New York City, Searcy provides a step-by-step guide for launching a new congregation from scratch. This is a book every church planter will want to read.
