Four college buddies decided, rather than study for a final exam, they would take a road trip and party. They misbehaved so badly they all slept late and missed the final exam. They decided to concoct a story and see if their professor would let them take the final late. They said they were traveling back to the school and had a flat tire, didn’t have a spare, and couldn’t find the help necessary to make it to campus in time for the test. The professor graciously agreed they could take the exam. They studied hard and arrived at the professor’s office. He placed them in separate rooms and gave them the exam. The problem on the first page seemed easy and was worth five points. They were gleeful they had gotten away with their spree. Then they turned to the second page and saw the second question: “(For 95 points): Which tire?”
