Evidently there is a real psychological syndrome called Paris Syndrome. It happens when people visit the famous French city with very high expectations about its beauty and romance, only to be disappointed by reality. It has been reported that a dozen or so people experience this every tourist season.
Is it possible that some people have Church Syndrome? They come to our churches and leave disappointed. On the other hand, we should do our best to be the kind of church Jesus wants us to be and at least reduce the number of Church Syndrome cases.
