It’s not brand new (published in 2011), but Aubrey Malphurs’ book The Nuts and Bolts of Church Planting: A Guide for Starting any Kind of Church (Baker Books) is one of those solid reference guides that deserves a place on the preacher’s bookshelf. Malphurs discusses the preparation process for planting, then offers loads of practical guidance in the process of church planting. The 16 appendices alone are worth the price of the book, providing a treasury of helpful tools and resources.
