As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Preaching, we thought it might be interesting to highlight some books that were published in 1985, the same year Preaching began publication. Unfortunately, not many are still in print, though used copies are in wide circulation.
One of the most influential is Preaching by Fred Craddock, a book that has been widely used in college and seminary classrooms. A few years ago Abingdon Press released a 25th anniversary edition of Craddock’s text. If you don’t already have a copy on your shelf, this is one of those standard works on preaching that any serious student of the craft will want to have read.
