The Swedish Navy once built a huge warship with 64 guns. On Aug. 10, 1628, the king himself was present for its maiden voyage, along with thousands of onlookers. As the crew waved to the king, the ship began to list and sunk in the harbor. Here it remained until it was salvaged in 1961 and put on display. When we fail, we can take comfort in the thought that we are not alone and that our failures are small compared to some of the monumental failures of others.
