John Lennox is a philosopher, mathematician, and Christian apologist. He teaches at Oxford University. Lennox is a Christian and has made a study of the relationship between science and religion. He is known for his spirited, intelligent andcivil debates with atheists such as Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens and others. Some have compared him to C.S. Lewis.

He said of faith, “Faith is not a leap in the dark; it’s the exact opposite. It’s a commitment based on evidence…It is irrational to reduce all faith to blind faith and then subject it to ridicule. That provides a very anti-intellectual and convenient way of avoiding intelligent discussion.”
