The Ashley Madison hacking episode has put the spotlight on male infidelity, and a particularly tragic aspect of that is the involvement of some pastors and church leaders. In the new book Unburdened: The Christian Leader’s Path to Sexual Integrity (IVP), counselor Michael Todd Wilson encourages Christian men to recognize their own struggles in this area and to move toward sexual integrity in their own lives. Wilson wants us to understand that men in Christian leadership struggle with this issue as much as any men, and he offers wisdom, counsel and resources to help men in that battle. He says, “Giving in to sexual temptation is a weapon Satan has used against many Christian leaders for millennia and serves to siphon our strength; intentional steps to strengthen our sexual integrity reverses this process and allows us to redemptively reclaim this God-given resource and redirect it into our calling as Christian leaders.”
