Some folks still need to realize 911 is not a complaint line.
A 44-year-old Cleveland woman recently called 911 to express her emergency: The Chinese takeout meal she had ordered from a local restaurant was “not up to par for her liking.”
According to the Sept. 19, 2015, issue of World magazine, “Once the dispatcher realized [her] complaint was better served by Yelp than by 911, police arrested her and charged her with a misdemeanor.” She ended up with “a three-day jail term and a $250 fine for misusing the system.”
The next time, just pick up a burger.
