Diners at a Daytona Beach restaurant were surprised when a man fell through the ceiling and onto a startled customer.
As it turns out, he had climbed into the ceiling from the restroom of the Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet, crawled to the manager’s office and broke in there—but gained nothing because the money was in a safe—then apparently was climbing back when he instead dropped through the ceiling onto a diner.
According to a Nov. 5, 2015, UPI story, prior to the surprising drop in, patrons had heard noises from above, and the manager was on the phone to 911 when the would-be burglar arrived. The other diners held him until police arrived and he was placed under arrest.
