The Red and Rover comic strip depicts the close relationship of a boy and his dog. In one of the recent strips, Red comes up to Rover and says. “Let’s play war.” At first Rover is reluctant, but eventually relents. While they are playing, Rover says, “Why don’t people ever play peacemaker?” Red replies, “Because it is too difficult.” It sure is difficult. That’s why Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.”
