As editor Michael Goheen observes in the introduction to his new book Reading the Bible Missionally (Wm. B. Eerdmans), has become pervasive in North America. Yet that very sense of overuse may “indicate that something important is being recovered from obscurity.” This volume contains a series of excellent essays by well-known biblical and missiological scholars who discuss reading the scripture using mission as a key interpretive lens. Essay contributors include NT Wright, Richard Bauckham, Christopher J.H. Wright and others. The book is a helpful contribution to the ongoing conversation in hermeneutics.

Michael Duduit is the founding publisher and editor of Preaching magazine. He is also the founding Dean of the new College of Christian Studies and Professor of Christian Ministry at Anderson University in Anderson, South Carolina.
