If you’re going to be a robber, be careful where you write your note.
That’s a lesson one Pennsylvania man learned the hard way, after the 29-year-old tried to rob a pizza place in Uniontown. He handed an employee a note written on toilet paper that read: “I have a gun. Give me $300.”
According to a Dec. 29, 2015, AP story, police arrived before the robber could leave fter an employee hit a panic button. The man “told officers he was forced to commit the robbery by a large, bearded man with a gun who accosted him in a nearby alley.
“Police say a search of (his) apartment wiped out that explanation: That’s where they say they found a newly opened roll of toilet paper with the pen impression from (the) note on an outer sheet.”
