Al Tizon’s book Missional Preaching: Engage, Embrace, Transform (Judson Press) covers that topic from an emergent perspective with a particular focus on mission as engagement in social and justice issues. The book includes suggested sermons by preachers susch as Greg Boyd, Shane Claiborne and Brenda Salter-McNeil. The book includes some useful insights, though evangelical readers will find much to criticize. We are still waiting for the definitive book on this subject.
