D.A. Carson is always a source of helpful biblical insights, and that is also the case with his The Cross And Christian Ministry: Leadership Lessons From 1 Corinthians (Baker Books). This is actually a re-issue of a book originally published in 1993, and consists of a series of expositions of passages from 1 Corinthians. The expositions are particularly directed to persons in ministry, and will offer helpful insights. (My favorite chapter, naturally, was the one on The Cross and Preaching.)
