In Letting Go: Rugged Love for Wayward Souls (Zondervan), authors Dave Harvey and Paul Gilbert help us understand how to better care for the prodigals in our midst – the unfaithful spouse, the rebellious child, the wayward friend. Through a treasury of stories, they deal with themes of shame, guilt, uncertainty and struggle, exploring the spiritual dynamics at work in the prodigal heart and showing how we can reach out to them in love. This will be a useful tool in our pastoral care as well as a personal encouragement to those who are dealing with prodigals in their own lives.
