The World of the New Testament (Baker Academic), edited by Joel Green and Lee Martin McDonald, is a useful tool in understanding the historical and cultural situation in which the early church served and the New Testament was developed. An excellent team of contributors wrote for the volume, including James D.G. Dunn, Ben Witherington and others. This will be a helpful resource for pastors and teachers as they preach.
