When the first edition of his book Why Men Hate Going to Church (Thomas Nelson) came out, we featured an interview with author David Murrow in Preaching magazine. We thought it was an important book then, and the recent release of a completely revised and updated second edition deserves the attention of church leaders. Murrow does a great job in identifying the barriers we erect that discourage male participation in churches and offers suggestions based on the work of selected churches that are reaching men and boys in a significant way.
