Dinner time must offer some interesting conversation at this house.

That’s because Roy Runyon, a city council member in Bremerton, Wash., recently learned that his wife is also running for a seat on the city council—his seat.

According to a May 15, 2015, UPI story, Runyon was surprised to discover his wife, Kim Faulkner, has filed to run for the city council seat he has held for six years.
Faulkner told reporters: “I just sat down and said I think the city of Bremerton, District 6, needs more qualified people to run for office. I'm going to put my name in the hat.”

She went on to say, “He's very straightforward with his approach. Maybe a softer approach would be better.”

“I feel I'd be the better candidate,” Faulkner said. Her husband, wisely, did not respond.
