A city official in Cranston, R.I., has been forced to resign after encouraging some cross dressing.

The director of the city’s Senior Enrichment Center was speaking at a news conference and wanted to appear to have the support of local seniors, so she had a city bus driver dress up as an elderly woman complete with a dress, jewelry, makeup and a name tag reading “Cranston Senior Home Resident,” according to a Jan. 14, 2016, UPI story.

The official handed in her resignation after news of the photo fakery appeared. (UPI)
