Be careful where you take a nap.
A worker at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport decided to take a snooze in the cargo area of an Alaska Airlines plane, but woke up to find the plane taking off on its way to Los Angeles.
The man called 911 to report his dilemma but was cut off before he could fully explain. Then he started banging on the ceiling of the cargo area (which was pressurized and temperature-controlled), under the chairs of the passengers, who reported hearing screaming from underneath.
According to an April 13, 2015, Reuters story, the plane returned to the airport after 14 minutes in the air, and the ramp agent was rescued.
