Who knew that badgers were such heavy drinkers?
A Polish animal shelter recently posted a Facebook entry reporting that “a beer-stealing badger” had been “partying" excessively on a local beach and passed out drunk.
According to a July 30, 2015, UPI story, “the female badger, dubbed Wandzia, was found on a beach in the town of Rewal surrounded by seven empty beer bottles that appeared to have been opened using the animal's teeth. The shelter said two more empty bottles were found in the bushes near where Wandzia was found "drunk."
“The shelter said Wandzia spent two days sleeping off her intoxication and the ensuing hangover. A video shared on Facebook shows the badger, still unable to sit up, enjoying a meal from the horizontal position.”
