Everyone has a shopping list for Christmas. Perhaps we should have a stopping list for Christmas. We ought to stop spending too much on trifles. We ought to stop trying to impress others. We ought to stop hurrying and instead take time to pray. We should stop carousing and start caroling. We should stop being rude, impatient and selfish. New Year’s Day follows quite soon after Christmas. Why not compile a stopping list?
