Craig was on his seventh grade basketball team. His team was playing a
cross-town rival, and the first half of the game had been hard-fought, with
plenty of tension on both sides. When the second half began, Craig’s team was
down by two points. The opposing team fumbled the tip-off, and Craig found the
ball pushed into his hands. He began dribbling like mad down the court, and as
the crowd screamed, he executed a perfect lay-up — right into the other team’s
basket! He had worked hard and found success — but for the wrong team.
It’s possible to work hard and hit the wrong target.
