National Public Radio was interviewing veteran radio and television reporter
Judy Muller about her new book entitled “Now This.” She chose the
title because those two words are used so often by radio and television news
people to move into a commercial. She remarked that those two words would also
make a good epitaph, “Now this.” But she added that some other common
words from television would be an even better epitaph. They are the three words
commonly used to hold the listener while a commercial interrupts. The three
words are, “More after this!” And for the Christian, that is the most
fitting epitaph possible. To those who trust in God life here is wonderful, but
there is more after this — much, much more!
