In her book The Singing Sands, Josephine Tey described how different people developed different ideas of heaven. To some, it was the land of beautiful women. To others, it was the land of forgetfulness. To others, it was music and no work. To others, heaven was seen as a good hunting ground. The Celtic idea was that heaven was the land of youth, where people were eternally young. Jesus gave us the only eyewitness description, for He had been there. Most importantly He said, “Where I am you may be also.” For Christians, it is enough to know heaven is where He is and where we will be with Him forever.
