The often troubled life of Johnny Cash has been well documented. While he was always a Christian, by his own admission, he did not always live up to its highest ideals. When Johnny became reconnected with his faith, he began a long journey to write a book. Johnny, known as the Man in Black, wrote a book titled The Man in White. The book was about Jesus, the Man in white who appeared to the apostle Paul on the road to Damascus. Johnny had felt a strong kinship with Paul for various reasons. One of them was Paul’s struggle with his thorn in the flesh. Johnny told his son, “God can turn our hurts and weaknesses to our own advantage and ultimately His.”
