In a worship service, the song leader said, “If you’re visiting today, we welcome you; and we welcome the Lord Jesus Christ into our midst.” That is a nice sentiment, and perhaps we have said or thought it; but it is not exactly right. In a larger sense, it is actually He who welcomes us into His house!
