In the recent movie concerning the life of Steve Jobs, author Aaron Sorkin has Steve Jobs saying to a friend, “I am poorly made.” Sorkin believes that while Jobs was able to conceive of amazing quality products and bring them to fruition, in the end he may have done so to make up for his own sense of imperfection and feelings of being damaged.
We are not poorly made. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. We are made in the image of God. We may have done much to tarnish that image, but we are made a little lower than the angels.
