What
is the smallest country in the world? Some would answer Monaco and others would
answer Vatican City. Even though it is disputed some would answer “The
Sovereign and Military Order of Malta.” The SMOM does have some characteristics
of an independent nation and many countries recognize them as such. Its entire
land area is the size of half a football field and it has only one street address.
The population is about 80. This “country” is home to what remains
of the Knights Hospitalers. They operate hospitals and other benevolent works.
There are some “nations” even smaller than that. Some people live
in their own world with no concern of anything larger than themselves. These
“nations” need to be annexed into the Kingdom of God.
